Bible Studies

At Wittenberg, the study of God’s Word holds an essential place, flowing out of our reception of the gifts of Christ in the Divine Service. Here’s our weekly current weekly lineup:

Sunday: following Divine Service, we will have lunch at 12:00pm with Bible study.

Wednesday: This Fall (2026), we’ll be digging into the book of Exodus. Supper at Wittenberg at 6:00pm with Bible Study to come after from 6:30pm-8:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity for study and fellowship!

Thursday: Our Thursday evening Bible study meets at 7:00pm at Wittenberg. This Fall we’ll be reading Pastor John Kleinig’s Book Wonderfully Made: A Protestant Theology of the Body. This book is all about the big questions: What does it means for me to be a creature of God with a Body? Which is more important - body, or spirit? Or do they belong together? What about dating and marriage? We’ll have great conversations about all these and more! We’ll close out the study of the week with Compline at 8:45pm.

Saturday: Wittenberg joins a nationwide men’s group with Memento. Memento is a men’s group focused on the Christian discipline’s of prayer, study of Scripture, and various disciplines. We’ll meet from 3:00pm-5:00pm, read the Large Catechism, and close with Vespers in preparation for the Sunday Service.
